Description
As far as connectors and interfaces are concerned, the device has a very rich equipment and contains 16x 10/100/1000MBPS Ethernet ports with POE support, 2x SFP/SFP+ ports with a speed of 1/10Gbps, 1 serial RJ45 port and DC terminal for direct connection of el. Energy. The whole device is powered by ARM processor Cortex-A9 with a clock of 400 MHz, 256 MB RAM and an inner storage of 32 MB.
Poe in
Ethernet power for Edgepoint EP-S16 has its limits and it is recommended to use power via DC terminal blocks for multiple devices. If necessary, ports 1 and 2 are intended for POE IN Purpose. In case of use of POE IN Ports 1 or 2, it is not possible to use the POE OUT function on these ports.
Poe Out
The Poe Out ports are divided into two groups of collection and at the same time according to the conductors after which the power is led.
- The first group of ports 1-4 supports a passive POE 54 V or 24 V /1.4 A and is a power supply on all wires (+1, 2, 4, 5;-3, 6, 7, 8).
These ports are designed for powering eg: AF-5x units.
- The second group of ports 5-16 supports 802.3af/AT or passive 24 V/0.7 A. For passive PoE, one is one of the power supply (+4, 5;-7, 8).
Suitable for example: for Powerbeam and Cameras.
Thanks to the very sophisticated operating system Edgeos it is possible to use basic Switch functions, configuration and monitoring and advanced features such as VLAN, RSTP, link aggation, DHCP Snooping, radius and routing configuration.Package content:
